This honorary position recognizes my ongoing contributions to disaster risk reduction, emergency management, and policy development. The affiliation provides an opportunity to collaborate with graduate students, faculty, and researchers—contributing to the education and mentorship of the next generation of leaders in the field of Disaster and Emergency Management (DEM).

As a volunteer adaptation advisor, I contribute to providing strategic advice and expert insight to help advance initiatives that enhance community and organizational resilience to climate change. This is a flexible, casual, and on-call role, centered on promoting climate adaptation and equity throughout Nova Scotia.

Contributing to research, consultancy, and contract projects; providing technical and methodological advice for data mining and refining, statistical and geospatial analysis; and using data-driven results for effective risk communication and decision-making related to risk management on climate-related hazards.

Supporting evidence-based policy development with data-driven policy research; combining environmental hazard, physical exposure, and social vulnerability data for comprehensive risk assessment and effective emergency preparedness; contributing to gender-based analysis plus data for inclusive and equitable policy analysis and development.

Teaching Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, and Business Mathematics courses as a contract (part-time) Professor of Economics at the School of Business.
